Raymond Federman was born in 1928 in France. His novels have been translated into fourteen languages and include To Whom It May Concern (1990) and Take It or Leave It (1976), both published by FC2; Smiles on Washington Square (Thunder's Mouth, 1985), the winner of the 1985 American Book Award; and The Voice in the Closet (Coda, 1979). His other works include plays and books of criticism, essays, and poetry. He lives in San Diego.
